JOB FOR A COWBOY Performs Instrumental Set At Finland's TUSKA Festival; Video Available
June 30, 2008HardcoreSounds.Net reports that Arizona-based extreme metallers JOB FOR A COWBOY played at this past weekend's Tuska festival in Helsinki, Finland without their vocalist Johnny Davy, who had throat infection. Fan-filmed video footage of the performance can be viewed below. According to a posting on the site, JOB FOR A COWBOY has already cancelled its previously announced gigs in Russia and Estonia and a possibility exists that the group will call off the remainder of its European tour.
JOB FOR A COWBOY had its latest album, "Genesis", released on picture disc on April 18 (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy) and April 21 (rest of Europe) via Metal Blade Records. The LP is part of the "Metal Blade Vinyl Fan Edition," which means the pressing is strictly limited to 500 copies.
"Genesis" debuted at #54 on Billboard's Top 200 chart in May 2007, shifting nearly 13,000 units in its first week of release, and joined the initial releases from STONE SOUR and DAMAGEPLAN (which featured members of SLIPKNOT and PANTERA, respectively) amongst the highest charting metal debuts to crack Billboard's Top 200 since SLIPKNOT's 1999 self-titled album.
